Cloud Database Automation Engineer role will be responsible for projects to design, enhance or add new functionality to Synchrony Data platforms (Databases), as well as all operational support activities. Provide technical oversight, architecture, design expertise and guidance, interdepartmental coordination, and vendor direction for Synchrony Database Engineering and automation efforts.

Implement infrastructure as code for various database platforms Perform Software Configuration Management (SCM) for databases Implement automation of database operations and migration Implement monitoring and logging solutions for different database technology stacks or container orchestration platforms Have general cloud ops knowledge with at least one provider, private or public, such as attached volume lifecycle, auto scaling, cloud-config, security, instance lifecycle, etc Implement Database automation in AWS from build to day-to-day support.
